Mofo — Social Crypto Trading App (Flutter + Laravel)

Mofo is a complete social crypto trading platform: a Flutter app for iOS and Android, a Laravel 13 API, a Filament 4 admin panel, and a marketing website. Traders buy and sell spot assets and perpetual futures, follow each other, share their reasoning, and compete on a leaderboard.

The operator is the counterparty to every trade. This is a self-contained platform with its own double-entry ledger, not a wrapper around someone else’s exchange.

Built on a real ledger

Every balance in the system is derived from a double-entry ledger. Amounts use fixed-point DECIMAL(36,18) precision end to end, with no floating-point arithmetic anywhere in the money path. The application refuses to boot on a database driver without true decimal support rather than silently rounding users’ balances. A ledger verification command proves that the books balance on demand.

What traders get

• Spot and perpetual futures: 250 spot assets and 38 perpetual markets, with configurable leverage, funding, slippage, and liquidation.
• A social feed: see what other traders bought, at what market cap, and why. Follow them, reply, and buy the same asset in two taps.
• Leaderboards and clans: ranked by realized profit over 24h, 7d, and 30d. Clans have their own page, feed, and combined standing.
• Multi-chain wallet: BIP-32/44 address derivation across seven chains, with deposits, withdrawals, and confirmations.
• Advanced charts: candlestick charts with pan, pinch-to-zoom, and a crosshair, built from scratch with no charting dependency.
• Price alerts and push notifications: eighteen notification types, a per-type preference matrix, quiet hours, and per-friend mutes.

What operators get

• A Filament 4 admin panel: 27 resources covering users, markets, orders, positions, deposits, withdrawals, liquidations, moderation, and support, on a separate guard with mandatory two-factor authentication and a full audit log.
• Analytics: growth and volume on one chart, plus a view of where your book is concentrated by asset.
• Branding without SSH: set your name, colors, logo, and links in the admin panel. They are delivered to the website, every email, and the mobile app through the config endpoint, with no store release required.
• Editable content: the entire marketing page, terms, privacy policy, help articles, and FAQs can be edited in the admin panel.
• Risk controls: per-asset fee tiers, slippage models, position limits, and a net exposure widget showing what the platform is holding as counterparty.

How you make money

Five revenue lines, each recorded as a real double-entry transaction against its own platform account in the ledger. Everything is inspectable in the admin panel, not tracked by a counter that someone manually increments.

• Trading fees: a taker fee in basis points on notional, set per instrument and banded by each trader’s trailing 30-day volume.
• Spread: a configurable slippage model moves the execution price in your favour on every fill.
• Funding: charged hourly on open perpetual positions, with a per-market cap.
• Counterparty P&L: you take the other side of every trade, so you keep what traders lose and pay what they win. This is the largest revenue line and the only volatile one, which is why the dashboard leads with net exposure by market. The platform also includes per-user, per-market, and platform-wide caps, plus a daily-loss circuit breaker.
• Withdrawal fees: a flat amount plus a percentage per chain asset, sized to cover what the network charges you to send it.

A referral share is carved out of the gross fee rather than added on top, so inviting traders never costs them more. Every rate above is editable in the admin panel with no deployment required. The documentation includes a section on each revenue line and explains which number to watch first.

Optional integrations

The item installs and runs completely without any third-party account. Firebase (sign-in and push), PostaLynk (email), Supoora (live chat), and an upstream price feed are all optional. Without them, the product falls back to a demo identity provider, any Laravel mailer, the built-in ticket system, and a synthetic price driver. No API key is hardcoded anywhere, and php artisan mofo:doctor tells you what is configured.

Activation

Your copy activates with the purchase code from your Envato Downloads page, entered during installation or later in the admin panel. Development machines, staging hosts, and private IPs are never checked. A new installation runs for seven days before activation is required, and a verified copy keeps running even if the activation service is unreachable. Envato support expiry is shown but never enforced: it ends support and updates, not your right to run the item.

Requirements

• PHP 8.3 or newer, MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.6 (SQLite is not supported because it has no fixed-point decimal type)
• Redis for cache and queues
• Node 18 or newer, required once to build the front-end assets (npm run build)
• Flutter 3.32 or newer to build the app

Admin: https://mofo.foundrcode.com/admin. Sign in with [email protected] and password demo1234. This account can open every screen and read every record, but cannot create, edit, or delete anything. It uses the built-in read-only role, so browsing the demo cannot break it for the next person.

Website: https://mofo.foundrcode.com. The app’s sign-in screen has a “Try the demo” button that requires no credentials. Crypto prices are live from Binance, and US equities are live from Finnhub. The long tail runs on the built-in synthetic driver, so every market keeps moving whether or not you connect an external feed. Demo data is not wiped on a schedule, so anything you place stays where you left it.
