Hunch — Prediction Game Platform (Flutter + Laravel)

Hunch is a production-ready social prediction game with a native Flutter app for iOS and Android front-and-center, backed by a powerful Laravel admin panel and REST API. Players call the outcome of real-world events, earn and spend points, climb a global leaderboard, and invite friends. The Flutter app and the responsive web app are driven by the same /api/v1 (Sanctum tokens).

It is a free game of skill, not gambling. Players compete for points and leaderboard rank only. Points are virtual, have no cash value, and are non-transferable and non-redeemable. There are no deposits, no withdrawals and no payouts: nothing is paid in and nothing is paid out, exactly like Fantasy Premier League or Superbru. New players get a starting points balance and can top up with free points; there is no way to buy points or cash them out.

A note on optional third-party services

Hunch works fully out of the box with no external accounts. Optional integrations, such as push notifications (Firebase) and email delivery (any SMTP provider), are independent third-party services with their own usage-based costs on their own plans; none are part of this item and none are collected by us. They are entirely optional.

Requirements

A recent stable Flutter to build the app; PHP 8.3+ with common extensions, Composer 2, MySQL 8 (or SQLite), and Node 18+ to build web assets. Any standard PHP host works.
